Barcelona posters & art prints

The Mediterranean metropolis where history meets modernity - Barcelona Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, represents a unique blend of history, innovation and creativity. Over the centuries, the city has evolved from a Roman colony to one of Europe's most influential cultural metropolises, which is reflected in our thoughtful poster collection. With 1.6 million inhabitants in the city center, Barcelona is the most important port and commercial city on the Mediterranean coast. Its characteristic mix of medieval architecture and modernist landmarks has made the city a UNESCO World Heritage Site, especially through the groundbreaking works of Antoni Gaudí from the turn of the 20th century. The city's geographical location, between mountains and sea, creates a special atmosphere that characterizes our artistic expressions. The Mediterranean climate with over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year provides the distinctive lighting that characterizes many of our photographic posters, where shadow play and warm tones dominate. Catalan Modernism, led by Gaudí, represents an architectural revolution that continues to inspire artists and designers worldwide. This unique art form, where organic shapes meet mathematical precision, forms a central part of our poster collection. Barcelona's urban planning, with the characteristic 19th-century grid pattern of the Eixample, offers fascinating geometric perspectives. This urban landscape contrasts effectively with the medieval alleys of the Barri Gòtic, the city's historic center, creating dynamic visual experiences in our urban motifs. Our poster collection captures this multifaceted city through a variety of artistic expressions - from photographic documentation to abstract interpretations. Each work is carefully selected to represent the soul and character of Barcelona, perfect for those who appreciate both the city's rich cultural heritage and its modern character.
